The cannabis industry is undergoing an economic crisis. The market value of products continues to erode as cannabis moves to commoditization. Sales and revenue decrease while tax rates prevent growth. The larger economic landscape further impacts the industry, and lack of access to institutional capital cripples business development. Cultivators are laying off employees and decreasing plant counts and production quotas. With a longer shelf-life, concentrates provide an option for underutilized biomass. Concentrates, flavoring, and vaporizer use are under attack by the prohibition movement and potency trolls.
CVIA is uniquely qualified to promote responsible, safe regulation around the use of flavors, concentrates and vaporizers. Our members comprise a wide variety of experience across all aspects of our industry segment and bring massive collaboration potential to all new members and a chance to discuss and refine policy around new developments as they arise. Through our connections from our members to our political action teams; we speak as a unified voice moving forward, something our segmentation has been lacking so far in the movement.
